ABOUT US

Friends of Georgetown Waterfront Park

Founded in 2005, we are an all-volunteer nonprofit working in partnership with the National Park Service to preserve and enhance the park. That means funding native trees and pollinator-friendly plantings, and educating visitors about the Georgetown Waterfront's deep roots in the history of Washington, DC. Nearly every dollar we raise goes directly back into the park.

Whether you live around the corner or you're just passing through, Georgetown Waterfront Park is a gathering space for all to enjoy. Friends of Georgetown Waterfront Park (FOGWP) exists to keep it that way.
